From June 22-28, net proceeds from the sale of our large Brown Sugar Shortbread Cookie<\/a> will go to Queer Power Alliance, a Seattle nonprofit working year-round across the Puget Sound region.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEmbracing diversity is one of our core values,\u201d says Leslie Mackie, our founder. \u201cWe’re proud to celebrate Pride and to stand with an organization doing this work, now more than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Queer Power Alliance<\/a> advances LGBTQIA+ liberation through advocacy, education, and community organizing. Their work spans housing justice, economic opportunity, civic engagement, and racial and gender justice. It is rooted in a simple idea: meet people where they are and make sure community members get the support they need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBuilding collective power and showing up for our communities in meaningful, tangible ways is at the heart of what we do,\u201d says Taylor Farley, executive director of Queer Power Alliance. \u201cPartnerships like this make a real difference.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Pride cookie is a sweet way to celebrate and support that work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pride Month brings the city together, and the Seattle Pride Parade is its centerpiece. The Northwest\u2019s largest LGBTQIA2S+ parade is community-led, deeply rooted in activism, and draws huge crowds downtown each year, with hundreds of contingents marching for joy, justice, and belonging. This year\u2019s parade is Sunday, June 28, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., along 4th Avenue from Union Street to Denny Way. The theme is \u201cRally.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our store managers and crew have our support and encouragement to bring their own flair and personalities to each caf\u00e9\u2019s celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
