This event has grown into one of the premier Northwest culinary events &#8211; gathering epicureans from all over the region. This year, I have been asked to work with sustainable seafood, specifically Weathervane sea scallops. After playing around with different approaches, I will be serving Seared Scallops with Feta and Citrus Vinaigrette on Rye Crostini. It is a tasty appetizer that would be fun to serve at a party.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2891\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.macrinabakery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/scallops.jpg\" alt=\"scallops\" width=\"3264\" height=\"2448\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.macrinabakery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/scallops.jpg 3264w, https:\/\/blog.macrinabakery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/scallops-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.macrinabakery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/scallops-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.macrinabakery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/scallops-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.macrinabakery.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/scallops-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 3264px) 100vw, 3264px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>More than 200 vendors will be there, including many other chefs, lots of great wine, brew masters, and distillers. An excellent\u00a0way to find new favorite foods, wines, and more.<\/p>\n<p>This year a percentage of the proceeds go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lesdamesseattle.com\/\">Les Dames D\u2019Escoffier Seattle<\/a>, an organization dear to my heart. The non-profit focuses on raising funds for scholarships for women in the culinary, beverage, and hospitality industries. All efforts are based in Washington State. Les Dames also supports community outreach programs and sustainable agriculture projects.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re free this weekend, come down to <a href=\"http:\/\/seattlewineandfoodexperience.com\/\">SWFE<\/a> and find me.
